I grew up in the countryside, sharing one room with my three sisters and parents.

That shaped my marriage! I strived to be perfect—to handle everything, be endlessly understanding, and to support my husband's dreams while holding down two jobs. I convinced myself that needing something for myself was selfish. I silenced my true self and neglected my desires.

But that quiet voice within me always whispered, "Is this all there is?" It never felt enough for me.

After a painful divorce, I woke up.
